Here is the full report on the Placemaking workshop Global Urban Design recently completed with GCSE Art Students at Harris Academy Bermondsey (HAB). It was a wonderful experience. We will happily conduct other Placemaking workshops. The exercise reinforced that there is much to learn from community members of all ages as to how to improve unloved, unused and forgotten spaces. Reflecting on the experience of teaching and learning from young people, we are persuaded that we need to value the community as experts and work with them in the Placemaking Process. Thank you to the amazing Head of
Art and Design Ms. Beth Sheard, all the wonderful people at HAB, Fiona McDonald and Stacey Evans from RIBA for their support, and especially the students, who worked so hard to complete their projects.
